Questions we hear from new partners
Do you put my company's name on the plans?
We list Sonora Solar Engineering as the engineer of record on all deliverables, as required. Our focus is the engineering: Accurate designs, code-compliant calculations, and a stamp AHJs trust, so your submittal moves through review without friction.
What do you need from me to get started?
Just the basics: a copy of the utility bill, roof or site photos, the AHJ's jurisdiction, and your target system size. Send those over and our engineers take it from there.
How long does it take to get stamped plans back?
Most projects come back permit-ready within a week of us receiving your project brief. Larger or more complex jobs may take a bit longer — we'll flag that upfront.
What if the AHJ requests revisions?
We handle comment responses directly — included in the original project price. If a revision requires new engineering (change of scope), we'll quote the additional work before proceeding. Our 90%+ first-cycle rate means revisions are the exception, not the rule.
Can you work in States where I'm bidding new work?
Yes. Our engineers hold — or can obtain — PE licensure across all 50 states, so wherever you're bidding, we can stamp for that jurisdiction. Just flag the state and AHJ in your project brief and we'll take it from there.
